让靖恒上厕所大便时用幼童坐垫，他终于肯自己坐下来。可是，他也太喜欢那个坐垫了，每回小便都说要大便。我们尝试跟他说道理。说了几天，今天，他似乎有些“开窍”了。有一两次小便时不再说要大便，还对我重复我说过的话：“不能每次大便”。
Ethan is so addicted to the toilet seat that he would ask to pass motion every time he has to go to the loo. I was getting worried as this did not seem right. After much 'reasoning' - I don't know how it happened - today, he seemed to 'get it' and asked for the toilet seat less times. Well, we'll see how things go tomorrow.
感冒了
是不是昨天带他去游乐场，虽然起初太阳高照，但后来风有点大，有点冷，今天靖恒流了很多鼻涕？咳嗽也较多。看着办吧，就是睡觉时偶尔会吵，醒着时他还没什么的。
Yesterday's triumph at making Ethan fall asleep after the playground was short-lived: today his running nose gets worse, his cough also, though not by as much. It could be due to the weather turning cold towards the end of the session at the playground.
吃苹果
也许是这次买的苹果特别好吃，加上建明一开始就让靖恒咬整粒苹果，他吃得蛮津津有味的，有一回还吃了将近一粒苹果。
Ethan can eat one whole apple by himself now. No need to cut. Of course, most of the times he can't really finish one apple.
救火员
有一个下午，我们房间对面来了一辆救火车，还有救火员带着帽子上下车子。加上建明跟一位妇女拿了些她已不要的故事书，有一本是关于救火员的，最近靖恒爱扮成救火员：带着帽子，拿着纸筒当水喉。
Fireman Sam and the fire engine (and four firemen) we saw from our window one afternoon across the street seemed to ignite Ethan's worship of firemen. He's been playacting as fireman, of course dragging us into the make believe, by wearing a hat and using a rolled-up piece of paper as water hose to 'put out fire'.
午觉
今天终于哄到靖恒睡午觉了。虽然中间有哭着醒来一会儿，也许是鼻涕吧，后来让他睡回去了。从下午2.30 到 5点。
This afternoon we finally managed to get Ethan to take his afternoon nap at 2.30pm. What a feat. He woke up about half an hour later though, crying. I think it was because of the blocked nose. Anyway, managed to get him to sleep again and he only woke up two hours later. Actually, to be truthful, this is the second time he managed to take a nap in the room. But the first time he woke up too early, crying, and wouldn't sleep again. So, I wouldn't consider that successful.
弥撒
尝试带靖恒去一个教堂的弥撒，因为他们有特别的空间让小朋友们在一位阿姨的带领下上弥撒。可是靖恒毕竟还是太小了，不能理解他们在做什么。幸好门外有一些书本拱小孩解闷。而且，弥撒完毕，有糕点饼干之类的茶点让教友们吃，正合靖恒的胃口。
We brought Ethan to St Patrick's Church for Sunday mass because there is children's liturgy there. However, despite having a really nice lady called Margaret to lead the liturgy, Ethan is still too young for it. So he never got to sit still at any place and we would usually end up at the foyer, reading the children's Christian books placed there. Afterwards, well, there are the cakes and biscuits provided for the church goers to sweeten him. A good chance to teach him that other people must eat the cakes and biscuits too, not just him, so he shouldn't finish all, though I think he hasn't learned it well yet.
By the way, twice he burst out singing: "Gloria, gloria, in excelsis Deo, Gloria, gloria, in excelsis Deo". Just find it amusing.
