Of Calton and Chicken Pox

First time wearing scarf. Weather getting colder.

We went to Calton Hill. The sun's not always showing; sometimes hiding behind the clouds. But it was a nice walk nevertheless. We went to St James' Shopping Centre afterwards, to the toy store 'Early Learning Centre', and he had some fun running around the shop, playing with the toys that are lying around for that purpose. That was the last day trip out - till now...

Chicken pox! Jianming caught it, had a serious bout, and two weeks later, Ethan is still going through it, albeit a milder one. Our main problem is unable to stop him from scratching, and he appears to be feel very itchy from day one. Apart from that, he behaves quite as normal, active, rowdy, and always asking you to play with him.

There is this Oct2Bus thing, a small double-decker converted to a play area. Downstairs are the soils, paint, and glue - all the messy stuff. Upstairs is quite a comfy place, with ball pool, books, toys and a couch. They also provide some snacks for the kids and a nursery rhymes and story session at the last half an hour (while the other carers clean up, I suppose). It's every Tuesday, till 11 Dec. We went to the first Tuesday on 30 Oct and it was quite fun. Small group because there is only so much space in the bus, and the carers interact with your kids and chit chat with you. But we will have to give one or two of the sessions a miss while he erm... 'recuperates' at home, from the chicken pox. That's just an euphemism, I suppose. He's at home because he doesn't look too good now, and - we are not sure - maybe chicken pox is not such a taboo here as it is in Singapore, but quarantine is the word still, I think.
