Dobbies Garden World:
Butterfly and Insect World:
Wanted to name this article 'Gecko', because we really did see a really impressive representation of this reptile on this trip. However, I don't think most of the few people reading this can appreciate the naming of this article as 'Gecko' immediately after my previous article 'Jazz' (and explanation spoils the fun), so I will do away with the 'sentimentality'. Alright, on with the journal...
Before reaching Dobbies Garden World, I had thought it was more of a nursery, like those back home. Only upon reaching did I realise it was a supermarket for gardening and gardeners. They sell all sorts of gardening paraphernalia - ranging from things to beautify and enhance comforts, to animals and plants, to heavy machinery. There are also toys and books, the sections Ethan enjoyed the most. And of course, not to forget the gardening products such as food and fragrance.
After lunch, we went to the Butterfly and Insect World, which is next door, a much smaller world compared to the first one. It is supposed to be educational, but Ethan was too young, and I was too preoccupied. Butterflies fluttering around him, instead of conjuring up a romantic picture, appeared to make him frustrated. However, when I pointed out the gecko, colourful frogs, ants carrying leaves, snakes, scorpions etc. to him, he did show some interest. Later, he had an exhilarating time on a swing outside, and we went back.
