The longest day, literally. And it was cloudy and sometimes wet. We took a bus down to Roslin despite that, defying Edinburgh's ever changing weather. Roslin town is known more for its Rosslyn Chapel than the Roslin Glen nearby. However, to see the interior designs of the chapel would set me back £7.50, and since it's not that far from Edinburgh (I can come back again if I really want to, I suppose), I did not buy the ticket to go in. It's a pity Ethan can't go in by himself, since it's free for him... The exterior of the chapel was covered by a metal sheet and so we could not get an unobstructed view of the chapel known for its unique architecture and rich history (and of course, one of the places of attractions in Dan Brown's erroneous 'travel guide', "The Da Vinci Code").
After lunch, we went to Roslin Glen, which featured some wooded paths and a river. There was also a small ruin of a castle nearby. It was a nice pleasant walk, but we wanted to hurry back as the sky was beginning to look threatening. We had also intended to buy some Chinese foodstuffs, and had to reach the Chinese Supermarket by the closing time, 6pm. So it was a short circuit instead of the complete walk, then back to the bus station for the bus back to the city.
