Oh. Dear.

I thought I couldn't stand it any longer, so I decided to give it a little snip. Got carried a little too far away, and now I want those hair back!

actually i am not good so really pai seh to be describing to u how i do it. also, not sure if the same method can be applied for gals' hair.

(dun think u'll get what i am trying to say, coz i am really bad at explaining things, but here goes...)

basically, for the fringe, u grab one chunk of hair with your index and middle fingers up high above the head, then snip the hair above the fingers. based on trial and error, eventually u'll get the idea of how much to cut, which angle to cut, so as to get the length and degree of unevenness u want. for the boys' hair around the ears, i still try to cut out the shape around the ears first. for the hair at the back, i also cut levelly. then i'll do the grab-fingers-snip thing randomly all over, so the hair got 'layers' and won't lie thickly over the 'base'. it's really very amateurish. if u dun mind your daughter looking a little - well, funny - for a few months, do give it a try. with practise (i had abt 3 years of that!) and observing how the hairdressers do it, u'll get the hang of it.
